Description
IFLA! has defined a new type of politically engaged indie mag: creatively engaged but intelligently lo-fi, it places environmentalism in the everyday and, now eleven issues in, it continues to do so.
This issue is the first with Jackson Howarth as editor (Jackson spoke at magCulture Live New York 2024) and the theme this time is Knowledge. As Jackson writes: ‘Knowledge is not merely personal, but a collective endeavour, held in communion with one another and the wider world. Knowing is contextual, not merely embodied, but emplaced in culture, politics, space, and time.’
Inside this brown and pink edition, illustration-heavy features explore Ways of Knowing; How Landscapes Remember; Intertidal Learnings; Soil, Seeds, and Storytelling, and more.
