Through the art power, BranD hopes to release readers’ imagination about the world and let the free spirit of art run through their soul. For a vivid and unique presentation on the four artists’ artworks and ideas, BranD in this issue abandoned the ordinary editorial logic, and boldly planned the first experimental publication of art series, exploring an artistic experience that is one of a kind both in content and design.

Under the creative theme “The Theatre of Art Beyond Time and Space”, four artists have magical conversations with four literary characters, expecting to provoke readers into various interpretation and imagination, create different plays, and let the stories continue indefinitely! Interactive Transition The transition of the inside papers adopted a window-like hollow design.

When turning over the transitional paper, the readers directly know that the last play ends and the next play begins. Selling Point 2: BranD xArt Power in China lt is a special issue on new art power in China, focusing on four cutting-edge Chinese artists.

This issue includes nearly 200 pieces of artworks, covering various types, such as oil painting, acrylic painting, ink and wash, watercolour, collage, etc., which fully demonstrate the unique form and style of each artist. The magazine is like a collection of art-making inspirations.

The BranD team had in-depth interviews with the artists to reveal their art universe.

The team talked with Yan Cong about his sources of inspiration and bottlenecks in the creation, as well as his Beggar Publishing and Beggar Comic; interviewed with Xiang Yata about her vision of art and ideal environment for creating, as well as her stories and reflections on the creation of Optometry” series during all these 11years; discussed with Wang Mengsha about the indispensable factors of an artist’s pure soul, as well as the inheritance and innovation of ink and wash painting in the future; and reviewed with Lu Shan on her journey of sketching at home and abroad, as well as her intuitive painting style and ideas for her “3book”self- publishing series.

Four Covers, Four Kinds of Art Power This issue has four covers and fluorescent jackets. Each cover features a work of the four artists.

Each Magazine Comes with Four Posters · Four pieces of amazing artworks were selected for the posters, and were printed with high precision and full colours.

On the back of the posters are the theatre guides. After tearing down and open them, readers can hear” the dialogues between the artists and the literary characters. Through their stories, readers can appreciate the artworks with a new and unique angle.
